Introduction
These terms govern your use of AkoKit (the 'Service'), operated from Aotearoa New Zealand. By creating an account or subscribing, you agree to these terms.
Your account
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. You must be a real person aged 18+ (or a professional educator authorised by your school) to hold an account.
Subscription & payment
The AkoKit Teacher plan is NZ$50 per month, billed via Stripe. You can cancel anytime; access continues to the end of the paid period.
AI-generated content
Lesson packs on AkoKit are drafted by AI. Every draft is labelled 'AI-assisted teacher draft — verify before classroom use.' You are responsible for reviewing and adapting any AI output before using it with tamariki.
Acceptable use
Do not use AkoKit to generate content that is harmful, defamatory, discriminatory, or that violates copyright. Do not attempt to reverse-engineer or resell AI-generated packs outside your own teaching.
Intellectual property
AkoKit branding, code, curriculum tagging and design are the property of the operator. Lesson packs you generate for your own teaching are yours to use in your classroom.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms, with reasonable notice.
Limitation of liability
AkoKit is provided 'as is'. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the Service.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of NZ courts.
Changes
We may update these terms with reasonable notice. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
