AI Transparency
Which AI models we use
Lesson packs are drafted by Anthropic's Claude Sonnet 5 via the Emergent Universal LLM key. No user API key is required or stored.
What the AI sees
We send the model a concept title, description, learning area, strand, year level, and progress-outcome reference — plus a system prompt tuned for NZ primary pedagogy. We do NOT send your name, email, or student data.
What we do with AI outputs
We cache the generated pack in our database keyed by concept so we don't regenerate the same lesson repeatedly (faster load, lower cost, more consistent). Every pack is labelled as an AI draft to be verified by the teacher.
Human oversight
Every AI-generated pack MUST be reviewed by you before teaching. This is stated in the label banner at the top of every pack and in our Terms.
Feedback loop
Spotted a mistake, hallucination, or something that doesn't fit NZ classrooms? Email kia.ora@akokit.nz — we tune the system prompt continuously.
